Il progetto Dal Vivo di Velvet Factory è dedicato al live media in tutte le sue componenti: dal classico vj set alla performance in rete, dal live electronics alla radiofonia.

Con l’intento di estendere il loro rapporto di amicizia a livello artistico gli artisti austriaci Jogi Hofmueller, Reni Hofmueller (Graz), Uschi Reiter e Maex Decker (Linz) hanno scelto Rimini per approfittare della possibilità di una residenza a Velvet Factory. In particolare sono stati attratti dalla possibilità di abitare e lavorare insieme per una settimana senza essere sotto pressione, concentrandosi sulla conoscenza dei reciproci metodi di lavoro.
Il Velvet come luogo, offre a loro la possibilità di lavorare in gruppo e allo stesso tempo, grazie alla sua ampiezza, avere la possibilità di lavorare individualmente. Hanno lavorato sul suono ispirati dal luogo e dall’architettura del Velvet. Alla presentazione finale (sabato 22 marzo) hanno lavorato tra l’altro sull’idea di raccogliere i suoni e l’acustica dell’edificio del Velvet con dei microfoni di contatto. La presentazione è stata accompagnata da un piccolo laboratorio in cui gli artisti hanno spiegato, tramite alcuni esempi, i loro metodi di lavoro.

Knowing each other and their works already, the austrian artists Jogi Hofmueller, Reni Hofmueller (Graz), Uschi Reiter e Maex Decker (Linz) decided to come to Rimini in order to extend their relationship on an artistical level, taking advantage of the Velvet Factorys offer of the residency.They liked the idea of living and working together for a week without any pressure of time or the pressure to perform, putting the focus on getting to know their different methods of working. The Velvet as location offers them the opportunity to work in groups but because of its circuitousness also in isolated moments. The artists during there stay have worked on sounds, inspired by location and architecture of the Velvet. For the final presentation (saturday, 22nd march) they have collected the sounds of the Velvet and its acoustics by contact microphones. The presentation has been accompanied by a little workshop in which the artists shown their approaches by giving some examples of their work.
